The new package of European sanctions against Russia will affect the production of drones
The European Union will include restrictions against the production of drones in the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Berbok.
"Now we are in the process of adopting the thirteenth package of sanctions, in particular on the issues of drones. We are at the last stage," said the Foreign Minister.
She emphasized that sanctions against Russia must be tightened in the future. The minister noted that after two years of the war, Ukraine not only continues to defend freedom and democracy, but also more than ever advanced the way to join the European Union.
The Foreign Minister added that her country will continue to support Ukraine as much as necessary. And this was emphasized in a new agreement on security guarantees.
The discussion of the new package of sanctions against Russia in the EU began to be discussed in January this year. Restrictions want to approve the second anniversary of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, while the new package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation could not be agreed by Hungary, Deutsche Welle reports with reference to the Financial Times. Hungary opposed the restrictions for companies from China and India, which, approve, help the Russian defense sector.
The EU plans to impose sanctions against almost 200 individuals and legal entities from Russia, as well as against three companies from China and one of India. In case of approval, this will be the first time that enterprises from China and India fall under the sanctions of the European Union due to the war in Ukraine.
In turn, the Foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Siyyarto called the new package of EU sanctions against Russia meaningless. He believes that the second anniversary of the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine should be a reason to encourage European leaders to " promote the cessation of fire and peaceful negotiations."
