The FSB of Russia reports the liquidation of the SBU agent in the preparation of the "terrorist attack" in Zaporozhye

The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia neutralized an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), who allegedly prepared a terrorist attack against one of the politicians of the Zaporizhzhya region, the Russian FSB Center of the FSB of Russia said .

" The activities of a citizen of Russia, recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine and carried out on the eve of the electoral cycle of 2024, the preparation of a terrorist act in relation to one of the political figures of the Zaporizhzhya region, was opened and suppressed ," the FSB said.

According to the FSB officers, the terrorist attack was allegedly planned to be carried out using a home -made explosive device.

The activities of the attacker were coordinated by SBU employees. In addition, they supplied the saboteur with explosive substances, the FSB said.

" When trying to detain the suspect, he was armed with resistance to security authorities and was neutralized with return actions ," the FSB noted.
