Dron, independent European media in Russian, created by a group of famous Ukrainian journalists, is looking for a news editor .

Dron is an independent European media in Russian, founded in the summer of 2022. The publication was created by journalists who work according to the most strict professional and ethical standards. First of all, we write about Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus for reading news in Russian outside the Russian Federation, in Russia itself access to our site is limited. But for Russians too - many read us through the VPN.

Responsibilities:

• Independent daily tracking of news in the region, which illuminates the "drone", and their spelling;
• Tracking the development of situations regarding already published news. Updating published news, if necessary;
• Readiness and ability to work with formats outside the news (Explainer, interviews);
• Duplication of published news on social networks Telegram and X (Twitter).
• Help the chief editor in communication with freelancers, officials, sources, etc.

Requirements:

• Ideal Russian, which allows you to independently and efficiently write, publish news;
• It is preferably good knowledge of the Ukrainian language;
• It is desirable to speak English at a level that allows you to actively monitor/quote Western information agencies and other media (Reuters, Politico, The Washington Post, etc.);
• Previous experience in the post of news editor in large media (possibly regional) for at least 2 years;
• Ideal knowledge of the political situation in Ukraine, the development of the war of Russia against Ukraine. Good knowledge of events in Ukraine in 2014-2020 is also desirable;
• The ideal candidate is well oriented in the Ukrainian economy;
• The ideal candidate also understands the political and economic situation in other countries that the Don -Don, primarily in Belarus, Russia and Moldova, illuminates;
• Good skills in working with a computer, including Google Disk, Google Calendar, MS Office: Excel, Word;
• Knowledge of social networks, primarily telegrams and x (Twitter);
• Separate values ​​"drone";
• Flexibility and desire to study and grow professionally.
