GUR checks information about the transfer of ballistic missiles in Russia by Iran

Ukrainian special services check information about the possible transfer of their ballistic missiles in Russia by Iran. The representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) Andrei Chernyak said this in a commentary on RBC-Ukraine.

The source of RBC-Ukraine in the special services called the transfer of the Iranian missiles of Russia unlikely. And he added that so far such facts were not recorded by the Ukrainian special services.

Today, the American publication Reuters, citing its own sources, reported that Iran allegedly handed over to Russia ballistic missiles from the FateH-110 low-range ballistic family, including Zolfaghar missiles. Such missiles can hit targets at a distance of 300 to 700 kilometers. According to sources, in total, Iran allegedly handed over to Russia about 400 ballistic missiles.

"Deliveries began in early January after the transaction was completed at meetings at the end of last year between Iranian and Russian military and representatives of security services that took place in Tehran and Moscow," one of the Iranian sources said, Reuters writes.

Another source said that some missiles were sent to Russia by sea through the Caspian Sea, while others were delivered by plane. According to the source, "there will be more supplies."
