Amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation on the confiscation of the property of the Nepatriots (in the case of their conviction by the Russian court, in particular, for the "fakes" about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation), in accordance with the general rules, entered into force ten days after publication, that is, (symbolic) - from February 24.
But, it seems, the first attempt confirming the concerns of those who dare to criticize his because of the sovereign borders of the Russian Federation (but not the worst-we are not talking about real estate yet). On February 27, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested the accounts of the wife of Boris Akunin* for the amount of about 6 million rubles in the framework of a criminal case against the writer ... They specified that the arrest was imposed in December, then he was extended until the summer.
According to the investigation, this money is the joint income of the spouses and was used as a means of committing crimes.
The message “From the instance”, as one might guess, appeared on the initiative of the press service of the capital's courts, and, in turn, asked for the service, most likely, the Investigative Committee. Just in December, it was reported that against Grigory Chkhartishvili (Boris Akunin) a criminal case was opened under Articles 207.3 (Fakes) and 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (on the justification of terrorism). The SK announced the “defendant” on the wanted list, and Rosfinmonitoring in connection with it in the list of terrorists (for which there is enough initiation of the case) he blocked the account, as we now understand, the writer’s wife-probably, because he managed to take money from his own accounts in the Russian Federation once earlier.
In any case, while this is only a preventive measure in the form of an invasion of an account, confiscation can be applied only by sentence. But the correspondence consideration of the “Akunin case”, which has long been abroad, can turn into an idea. Let it obey in closed mode due to a terrorist orientation, but the writer, inclined to artistry, will guess to contact the same lawyers, and not the fact that this will decorate the Bastrykin and the court. The account from the moment of decision of Rosfinmonitoring in any case was already unavailable to either his wife Akunin or her representatives, so there is no substantial news here.
