A criminal case of vandalism against a 17-year-old teenager has been instituted in St. Petersburg. He was detained after he simulated the urination for the monument to Peter I. This was reported by "Paper" with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the same time, it is clarified that on February 25, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a criminal case of hooliganism had been instituted. The release of the department did not specify what kind of act a person was detained for, but the message came out immediately after a video began to spread in the telegram channels connected with the security forces, on which the teenager supposedly urinates the monument.

The Mash telegram channel on the Moik claims that the teenager in the video is called Sergey, he is from the Murmansk region, a friend came to visit him in St. Petersburg. During the “Tour around the City”, they decided to record a video with imitation of urination.

“I did not pursue the purpose of insulting the monument. I respect Peter. This is a parody, it was just a staging video - I am fooling around for my friend. I just got the situation that everything got into social networks and received great flashing,” Sergei told 78.ru.

The maximum punishment under an article on vandalism involves three months of arrest, under an article on hooliganism - up to seven years in prison.
