Media: A drone crashed into a residential building in St. Petersburg

In the north of St. Petersburg, a drone crashed into a residential building. This was reported by the local publication Fontanka , as well as Baza and 112 .

As a result of the explosion, a house on Piskarevsky Prospekt was damaged. Baza writes that the drone flew between the floors of house No. 161. Glass in several apartments was damaged.

“It feels like everything fell apart. The sound is precisely an explosion. The firefighters arrived in what seemed like three seconds. They started evacuating us,” a resident of the five-story building told Fontanka.

Mash published a video of the damage. Damaged balconies and windows can be seen in the footage. The Telegram channel also notes that the likely target of the drone was the Ruchi oil depot in the northeast of St. Petersburg. It is less than a kilometer from the place where the drone fell.

RIA Novosti, citing the city health committee, adds that six people sought medical help.

The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov , wrote that an “incident” occurred in the Krasnogvardeisky district of the city. He didn't mention the drone. “There are no casualties. The glazing of the balconies of two houses was partially damaged. Residents of the affected apartments were evacuated,” says Beglov.

In turn, 47news reports that two drones could have attacked St. Petersburg. According to the publication, police and the National Guard are looking for the wreckage of the second drone in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region. According to preliminary data, the drone could have fallen in the vicinity of Vsevolozhsk and Novy Devyatkino.

The Defense Ministry did not comment on reports of the drone attack.
