The Basmanny District Court of Moscow changed the measure of restraint to the head of the Podolsk boiler house Alexander Chikov from detention for house arrest for three months. Chikov was released from the imprisonment.

Previously, the worker: the Podolsk boiler room, on which an accident occurred in January 2024, recorded a video message in support of the head of the boiler house of Alexander Chikov. In it, they stated that Chikov did everything possible to prevent an accident and correct its consequences.

Alexander Chikov was detained in January, he was accused under the article on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements. He faces up to six years in prison. During the investigation, the court decided to place it in a pre -trial detention center, despite the presence of chronic diseases in it: according to the court, Chikov could have influenced witnesses or hide.
