The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow sentenced 22-year-old Moscow State University student Oleg Tarasov to 10 days of administrative arrest, who set the slogan “Slava Ukraine!” as the name of his Wi-Fi network. The court made its decision on March 7. Tarasov was found guilty of publicly displaying extremist symbols (Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). The police found that in October 2023, Tarasov bought a new router and, when connected, created a network called “Slava Ukraine!” In court, the student admitted that he set up the network himself. According to the police, Tarasov put this name “for the purpose of promoting the slogan of Ukrainian nationalists.”
