If we asked the same question to the Russians - why are they dying in Ukraine? - That, on the heart, many, most likely, would answer that they went to fight in order to earn. But even those who entered the Russian army for ideological reasons - but there are also many of them - they would hardly have been able to unanimously list the specific values ​​for which they are fighting.

Unlike the Ukrainian ideology of freedom, the ideology of the Russian world is extremely abstract. And there is a simple explanation for this: it is built on an illusion, on a myth that has nothing to do with reality.

This myth arose in the heads of elderly immigrants from the KGB who controls Russia for 25 years. Let's carefully analyze it and try to understand what he can tell about Putin's worldview and his attitude to reality? Let's try to conduct a session of psychoanalysis of the Russian government.

The ideology of the Russian world

Putin formulated the final principles of the ideology of the Russian world in November last year at a session of the World Russian People's Cathedral.

Firstly, this ideology is based on the image of the enemy -the collective West: “The West does not need such a large and multinational country as Russia. <...> Our diversity and unity of cultures, traditions, languages, ethnic groups simply do not fit into the logic of Western racists and colonialists, into their cruel scheme of total depersonalization, division, suppression and operation. ”

Secondly, the concept of the Russian world is based on the idea of ​​the exclusivity and messianism of the Russian people, which for centuries confronts the corrupted West and defends its more spiritual and fair values: “It is our country, the Russian world, as it has been in history, blocked the path of those who claim world domination. <...> We are now fighting for the freedom of not only Russia, but the whole world. <...> Russian is more than nationality! "

The third distinguishing feature of the ideology of the Russian world is its aggressive character : it does not recognize state borders and refuses national identity to other nations. Both Putin and Patriarch Kirill have repeatedly argued that Ukrainians and Belarusians were not individual ethnic groups, but parts of the “common Russian people”. Therefore, according to their logic, Russia has the right to “protect” the Russian -speaking population and annexes the territories where it lives.

Let us leave aside the ethical questions to these principles and ask only logical:

On the one hand, these contradictions are so obvious that it seems incredible as tens of thousands of Russians could die in Ukraine for an idea that, in its argumentation, is not very different from the illusions of a patient suffering from a delusional disorder.

On the other hand, it is not surprising that it was this ideology that became the state: the Putin's myth of the Russian world is, in fact, the mystical version of the ideology of Chekism - the system of views and beliefs of the narrow group of immigrants from the KGB that hold power in Russia.

The ideology of Chekism

Russia is ruled by the elderly Soviet Chekists - Putin, Patrushev, Bortnikov and many of their other former colleagues. To understand their worldview, you need to know in which value they grew up in, and how it influenced them psychologically.

Hostility

Putin and his environment were brought up in the traditions of one of the most cruel and inhuman special services in the history of the 20th century, who killed and sent millions of their own citizens to the camps. Moreover, the Chekists of these “achievements” in power are not shy and even find excuses - about the same as they justify today's repressions: enemies around, a plot around.

Their view of the world is deeply deformed in that in psychology it is called the bias of hostile attribution . This is a person’s tendency to see in almost any actions and intentions of other people (or countries) a hostile plan. Such cognitive distortion often leads to an incorrect interpretation of reality, conflicts and aggression.

Resentmenting

The Chekist career of the current leaders of Russia fell on the KGB Renaissance, when the committee headed their idol and celestial Yuri Andropov. It was he who created the fifth control of the KGB to fight “with the ideological sabotage of the West”-that is, with foreign agents, if in a modern way. Under him, punitive psychiatry blossomed against dissidents, which his loyal successors also revived in modern Russia.

Putin, Patrushev, Bortnikov and other Andropov Chekists always had two enemies - the West and dissenters. And if they managed to fight well with the defenseless citizens of their own country, then not very well with the West: the Soviet Union lost the Cold War and fell apart. This defeat developed a resentment in the Andropov Chekists - a feeling of resentment, humiliation and thirst for revenge to their enemy.

Machiavellism

In the post-Soviet period, in the same “dashing 90s”, they “enriched” their Chekist mentality of criminal. In those years, Putin worked as vice mayor of St. Petersburg and was responsible for the privatization of state-owned enterprises, casino regulation, and foreign investments. With its help, key assets in the city - a port, oil industry, hotels, gas stations, gambling establishments - have passed under the control of cruel criminal groups. Moreover: Putin and other Chekists not only helped the leaders of the organized crime group, on the account of which there were robberies and murders - they became their full -fledged business partners.

In 1999, Putin organized perhaps the most successful special operation in his Chekist career. He personally led a provocation against the “man similar to the Prosecutor General of Skuratov”, whom hidden video cameras filmed in an apartment with sex workers.

At that time, the Prosecutor General’s Office investigated the activities of the Swiss company Mabetex. The company was engaged in the reconstruction of the Kremlin and, according to European law enforcement agencies, paid bribes to the encirclement and the family of Boris Yeltsin, who at that time actually ruled the country while the president was lying in drinking. The Yeltsin family, frightened by the investigation, turned to the then director of the FSB for the then defense.

Having received power into their own hands, the Chekists began to manage Russia on the covenants of those organizations that formed their mentality - the KGB and the organized crime group. They began to select strategic enterprises (NTV, Yukos and others) by raider seizures, intimidate the disagreements, subject to repressions of dissenters, poison political opponents and arrange special operations against neighboring countries.

They adhered to the same covenants in the selection of personnel: the key state posts were primarily appointed loyal or compromised candidates, whom they completely controlled. In fact, they did not choose professionals, but recruited agents, as they were taught in the committee, which became the “office” (as the FSB. - R.A.) . The result of such a long -term “personnel policy” was a negative selection: only associates of the Chekists remained in power - those who corresponded to them by the level of incompetence.

The most suitable term for describing such country management methods is Machiavellism . This is a state policy based on cynicism, a cult of gross power, the desire to use others for their own purposes, neglect of moral standards and faith that the end justifies any means.

Narcissism

For many years of unlimited power and permissiveness, multiplied by the efforts of his own propaganda, which for almost three decades creates the cult of the personality of the leader (he flies on the bomber, and Sterkhov leads forward, and with a naked torso threatens the “Anglo -Saxons”) led to the fact that Putin and his environment believed in his own exclusivity, in the fact that they The salvation of Russia, its new nobility , sent to the country by God himself. The Chekists imagined themselves to be Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great and Catherine the Second.

Such an extreme form of narcissism is especially dangerous if the state leader suffers: he overestimates his own abilities, does not accept criticism, ignores advice and warnings, and, as a result, makes rash and risky decisions. For example, about the invasion of Ukraine.

Psychopathy

Machiavellism and narcissism, characteristic of the worldview of the Chekists, are included in the “dark triad” of personality - as in modern psychology they call a combination of negative features, owners of which pose a danger to others.

The third pillar in this triad is psychopathy . It manifests itself in cruelty, a tendency to violence, inability to empathize with someone else's grief, deceit and hypocrisy.

After two years of the war with Ukraine, you can, without embarrassment, say: Russia is controlled by real psychopaths. They give orders to demolish the city of the city from the face with civilians, defiantly reward those who committed monstrous war crimes and thereby encourage this practice, and threaten to blow up the planet with a nuclear bomb.

Sadism

In recent years, some psychologists have proposed to expand the “dark triad” to a notebook and add another feature to Machiavellism, Narcissism and Psychopathy - sadism , that is, a passion for tortures, an impaired observation of other people's suffering and pain.

Their views on history are full of conspiracy theractions, but also monstrous ones - both in their ignorance and in the level of cynicism - delusions, for example , that this, it turns out, the Poles provoked Hitler to start the Second World War.

The ideology of the Russian world and Nazism

Putin's attempts to justify Hitler are not accidental - the ideology of the Russian world is largely similar to the ideology of Nazism:

Firstly, they are united by hostility in relation to other nations (“Anglo-Saxons” and Ukrainians, Jews and gypsies);

Secondly, an aggressive and aggressive character, which in both cases caused long and bloody wars;

thirdly, the idea of ​​the exclusivity of their own nation;

However, there is a significant difference between them. The ideology of Nazism arose 100 years ago, and it was based on its popular scientific theories at that time. The ideology of the Russian world arose in the XXI century during the “Wikipedia” and ChatGPT in a country with a high level of Internet penetration. Even the allies of the Russian regime laugh at her delusibility, who, trying to wash its image, are forced to listen to lectures about Rurikovich and other liver for half an hour.
