In Balashikha, Moscow Region, 29-year-old Yulia Tishakova was detained in a case of justifying terrorism on the Internet (Part 2, Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). ASTRA reports this.
According to security forces, the girl owns a Twitter profile with the nickname "Kholi Lapushka", in which on October 8, 2022, a post was published justifying the blowing up of the Crimean Bridge.
According to ASTRA, Tishakova has Russian and Ukrainian citizenship. In addition, the girl lives and works in Russia.
- The Crimean Bridge, connecting Russian territory with Crimea, was opened in May 2018. This is the largest Russian project on the annexed peninsula. The bridge is also important for the supply of manpower, equipment and weapons for military operations in Ukraine. In October 2022 and July 2023, explosions occurred on the bridge, killing seven people. After both incidents, the Investigative Committee opened criminal cases on terrorist attacks; eight citizens of Russia, Ukraine and Armenia were arrested for involvement in the first explosion. The SBU subsequently admitted involvement in both operations.
- After the explosions, security forces began to open cases for justifying terrorism against those who spoke out about the incident on social networks. At least ten such cases are known: for example, sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky was sent to a pretrial detention center because of publications about the explosion, historian and former school teacher from Komi Nikita Tushkanovwas sentenced to 5.5 years in prison, Tver Region resident Alexey Sukhobokov was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, and a resident of Krasnoyarsk Krai was sentenced to 7 years in a special regime.
