As a result of the attack on the village of Nikolskoye in the Belgorod region, a family of four people was killed. This was announced by local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
According to him, the shell hit a residential private house. The dead were a 17-year-old boy, his mother and her common-law husband, as well as his grandmother. The little granddaughter was saved; she is in intensive care and connected to a ventilator. The child was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury. Gladkov did not specify how old the girl is.
The governor announced the attack on Nikolskoye on the morning of March 18. Three men were also injured as a result of the strike. In addition to the destroyed private house, four more households were damaged: their windows were broken, their roofs, facades and fences were damaged.
The village of Nikolskoye is located 12 kilometers south of Belgorod and 15 kilometers from the border with Ukraine. On March 18, Belgorod itself came under fire. According to Gladkov, as a result of damage, 11 private houses, three apartments in three houses, as well as seven business entities, 37 cars and one passenger bus were damaged.
The Belgorod region was under rocket fire on all three days of voting in the presidential election. This, judging by the CEC data, did not affect the turnout in the region: on Saturday he was the leader among voters throughout Russia.
Over the past few days, the Russian Volunteer Corps has several times called on residents of the Belgorod region to evacuate or hide in shelters. On March 18, the RDC reported on the conduct of a “limited military operation” in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, during which more than 600 Russian military personnel were allegedly killed.
