The Voronezh administration refused to approve a 100-person rally for the Organization of Voronezh Marxists in support of the convicted coordinator of the Action trade union Anton Orlov, citing a presidential decree introducing a medium level of response in the region. Information about this appeared in the “Soviet Revenge” telegram channel.
At the same time, the organizers noted that they did not need the approval of the administration, since the event was planned to be held in Hyde Park. By law, they must simply notify the mayor's office about the planned event.
“Naturally, we do not agree with this decision and will appeal it. According to the law, the appeal (in both instances, the district and regional courts) must take place the day before the date of the proposed event (that is, before the 29th), so we still have the opportunity to prove that we are right,” the activists added.
- In September 2022, the Sovetsky District Court of Ufa sentenced Anton Orlov, coordinator of the medical workers’ union “Action”, to six and a half years in prison and a fine of 250 thousand rubles in a case of large-scale fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). The action of the “Organization of Voronezh Marxists” was supposed to be held under the slogan “The trade union is not a crime”
