BBC: two participants in the attack on Crocus City Hall were killed

Two people who took part in the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall were killed, said a source of the BBC Russian Service, aware of the progress of the operation to find those who carried out the terrorist attack.

According to the publication's source, one of the participants in the attack was killed in Crocus City Hall, the second in the Bryansk region, where law enforcement officers stopped a Renault car, in which, as it was announced, the terrorists had fled.

The passport of the person killed in the Bryansk region is at the disposal of the BBC Russian Service. Journalists do not disclose the name of the murdered man, explaining that his family may not yet know about his death, but they report that he is a 30-year-old citizen of Tajikistan.

The passport was issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Vakhdat, which is located 19 kilometers from Dushanbe. For some time, the murdered man lived in Podolsk - in 2018, the Podolsk city court fined him 5 thousand rubles for violating the rules of stay in the Russian Federation (he exceeded the 90-day period of stay in the country) and ordered him to make a “controlled independent departure” from Russia.

The BBC also has a copy of the document of Shamsidin Fariduni, detained in the Bryansk region, whose interrogation video previously appeared on Russian telegram channels. The passport was issued in Tajikistan in 2021.

The BBC has not yet reported any details about the identity of the participant in the attack killed in Crocus City Hall or the circumstances of his death.

• The FSB on the morning of March 23 announced the detention of 11 people, including four people suspected of committing an attack on Crocus City Hall. The Russian intelligence service claims that four participants in the attack on the concert hall were detained in the Bryansk region and were planning to flee to Ukraine, where they had “relevant contacts.”
• According to TASS, on the evening of March 23, the detainees were brought to Moscow and taken to the Investigative Committee.
