The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that an open fire has been extinguished in the Crocus City Hall concert hall.
The fire in the building occurred during a terrorist attack carried out by Islamic State terrorists on March 22. The fire area reached 13 thousand square meters.
On the night of March 23, the fire was localized, but even during the day the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that they were continuing to extinguish the fires on the roof, second and third floors, and the total area of the fire was 500 square meters.
Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to clear the rubble.
Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov said that the main part of the search operation under the rubble in Crocus is planned to be completed on March 24. According to Vorobyov, rescuers are finding the remains of the dead at the scene of the fire.
