A Russian missile flew into Polish territory. This was reported by the Operational Command of the country's Armed Forces.
They clarified that one of the missiles launched by Russian long-range aviation violated Polish airspace at 4:23 am.
“The object entered Polish space near the city of Oserdów (Lublin Voivodeship) and remained there for 39 seconds. “It was observed by military radar systems throughout the flight,” Polish authorities said.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that on the night of March 24, Russia fired 29 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles into the country. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down 18 of them.
In addition, Russian troops launched 28 drones into Ukraine. Ukrainian forces shot down 25 drones in the Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Kyiv, Volyn and Lviv regions.
In April 2023, debris from an “unidentified military facility” was discovered in Poland. The media wrote that it was an air-to-ground missile without a warhead and with inscriptions in Russian on the body.
Before this, in November 2022, two rockets fell on Polish territory. As a result of the incident, two people died. In Ukraine they said that these were Russian missiles, and in Russia they claimed that Ukrainian air defense missiles fell there.
Polish President Andrzej Duda called the fall of two missiles in the country an “accident.” Duda also stressed that there was nothing indicating a deliberate shelling of Polish territory.
