The court arrested the eighth defendant in the Crocus terrorist attack case

The Basmanny court arrested the eighth defendant in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus, Alisher Kasimov. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center until May 22, Mediazona reports , citing its own correspondent. According to the Baza telegram channel close to the security forces, 32-year-old Kasimov rented out an apartment to one of the participants in the attack on Crocus, Shamsudin Fariduni.

As reported by RIA Novosti, in court Kasimov stated that he did not know about the terrorists’ plans, and rented out the apartment to them through the online ad service Avito. After this, the judge continued the hearing behind closed doors at the request of the investigator.

Kasimov is a native of Kyrgyzstan. He has Russian citizenship and is registered in the village of Putilkovo near Moscow. He is the father of three minor children.

The day before, the same Basmanny courtarrested four suspects in the terrorist attack - Dalerjon Mirzoev, Saidakrami Murodali Rachabalizoda, Shamsudin Fariduni and Muhammadsobir Fayzov, sending them to a pre-trial detention center until May 22. All of them were brought to court with signs of beatings and torture, which were not shown in the video of their detention. As reported, during the selection of preventive measures, Mirzoev and Rachabalizoda fully admitted their guilt.

Later, three more defendants in this case were arrested - the former owner of the Renault car in which the terrorists arrived at the concert hall, Dilovar Islomov, as well as his brother Aminchon and father Isroil. Islomov, having learned about the terrorist attack, came to the Investigative Committee himself - but he was accused of aiding terrorists.

According to investigators, one of the alleged terrorists, Shamsudin Fariduni, involved the Islomov brothers in a terrorist group. It is unknown what exactly their father is accused of.

On March 23, the head of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, reported to Vladimir Putin that a total of 11 people had been detained in connection with the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. According to the latest data , as a result of the terrorist attack in Crocus, 139 people were killed and another 182 were injured. The identities of 95 dead have been established.
