Azatu Miftakhov was given a new term - and he was more than the charge asked

Mathematics and anarchist Azat Miftakhov, who was detained at the exit from the colony in the fall of 2023, where he was serving the term in the case of hooliganism, sentenced to four years in a new charges of justification of terrorism for conversations with another convict. None of the accusations of myiftahs admitted guilty. The period that the court appointed was more than the state prosecution requested. Although the prosecutor was the result of the process, apparently, was known. He did not wait for the sentence and left the court ahead of time.

The 31-year-old Miftakhs in early September last year was supposed to be released. He served his six -year term in the case of the broken window of the United Russia office. At the exit from the colony, relatives and friends met him, but he could see them for only a few minutes.

Already at the very end of his term, reports began to appear that another business was being prepared against mathematics. But there was no specificity. Even before the case of the case of the broken window of the United Russia, Azat was detained in the case of explosives found in Balashikha - the investigation did not find any evidence, but the case was not closed; The assumptions also popped up that Miftakhov was going to attract the so -called Moscow Network in the case of the so -called Moscow cell. And all this was accompanied by pressure on the mathematician himself in the colony: the operatives came to him, threatened with new persecution and demanded that they be given the testimony they needed, and before liberation they put them in a schizo. But Azat refused any cooperation with the security forces. And refusals, as you know, they do not accept their threats with special cynicism.

In August 2023, Azat was introduced into the register of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring, then it became obvious-it will not be released. A little later, information appeared in the media that a new criminal case was opened against mathematics. The reason for the persecution was Miftakhov’s comments when viewing a television program in the circle of prisoners. On August 31, the Azat support group said that the case was opened because of a conversation with another convicted person about the anarchist Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who committed the attack: self-departure in the Arkhangelsk Department of the FSB in October 2018.

Key testimony against Miftakhov was given by prisoner Evgeny Trushkov, with whom Azat made friends in the colony. It was not without a secret witness, who stated during interrogation that Miftakhov allegedly approved the act of Zlobitsky in an interview with Trushkov. The three prisoners of IK-17 were also witnesses. All of them during interrogation said that after liberation, the mathematician was about to leave the country.

Friends and relatives of Miftakhov still arrived on September 4 to meet the Azat to the Kirov colony. Together with them, the mathematicians were waiting for five operatives at the white van Fiat Ducato with Chechen numbers. “They neighed above us and showed faki” -

The operatives put the van at the checkpoint itself, and the people from the support group were driven off by the barrier, so they were able to see Azat only “for a fraction of a second”.

Azatu was allowed to talk with his relatives for only five minutes and then immediately taken to Kirov for interrogation. On September 5, the Pervomaisky District Court arrested Miftakhov on charges of justifying terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

“Nothing unexpected, we have already passed all this, there were no hopes from the moment the investigator came to Azatu before his release,” Elena Gorban told reporters to reporters. - Then the whole story began with the case of the "network". Apparently, the only thing they had enough was such an obvious trick. We can say that they could not cope, again a classified third witness in the case. Although they suffered two unfortunate prisoners, they still could not cope without crutches. ”

"God -fearing" witnesses

On February 29, the Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg began to consider the second case of Miftakhov. Especially for this, anarchist was transferred to the capital of the Urals from Kirov. At the first meeting, the judge allowed his wife Azat to become a public defender along with the main lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina.

The witness claimed that Miftakhov was familiar with the anarchist Zhlobitsky, allegedly “approved” his act with an explosion near the FSB building and spoke in support of the struggle against the “Russian invaders”. Meanwhile, about ten people were present during this statement, but Trushkov remembered only one thing - the witness of the accusation of Rufan Gadzhimuradov. Trushkov explained that he had testified to Miftakhov to protect ordinary citizens, and considers himself a patriot.

Trushkov denies the presence of any privileges and agreements with the colony administration. He also suddenly stated that the teacher of Moscow State University Mikhail Lobanov spoke about Anarchism to Miftakhov.

Gadzhimuradov called himself a “God-fearing person” many times in court, who was deeply outraged by the fact that Azat approvingly spoke about Zhlobitsky, because of which peaceful people “suffered”. The witness allegedly heard these statements, sitting in front of the TV.

It is noteworthy that the other two witnesses from among the prisoners deny that during the viewing of television, they heard anything about Zlobitsky from Miftakhov. Although they confirmed that Azat was an anarchist and talked a lot with Trushkov.

Linguist Elena Novozhilov, who stated that sane statements do not belong to Miftakhov. In her opinion, the investigator presented this speech in the retelling of two witnesses: the prisoners of Gadzhimuratov and Trushkov, who, along with Miftakhov, watched the TV.

She noticed that fragments with the testimony of witnesses in which they retell the words of Miftakhov are copied from one interrogation protocol to another, which means they are set forth in the interpretation of the investigator. Thus, according to her, experts analyzed only the speech of the investigator. And since Miftakhov’s speech was given in retelling, Novozhilova concluded that “speech material” is unsuitable for research.

His version of that evening, May 25, 2023, when he watched a TV with other prisoners. In the room in educational work, a plot was shown about the capture of Bakhmut by the Russian troops. Then he had a discussion with a prisoner Trushkov. Miftakhov noted that in the dispute he only pointed out the inconsistencies of facts in the report, and there was not a word about Zlobitsky. Moreover, according to the defendant, he was not familiar with him.

The mathematician also indicated that he could openly discuss only with Trushkov, "because he trusted him and believed that he could call him all his names with him."

After a series of questions from defenders, Azat said that the FSB officers and the center for combating extremism have repeatedly threatened him with criminal cases. The defendant claimed that when detained in February 2019, the security forces said that if they did not succeed in starting a criminal case for Azat due to the pogrom of the United Russia office, then they would “hang” the attempt on a terrorist attack on him due to an explosive device found in Balashikha. The interrogation was finished, because the judge and prosecutor Miftakhov refused to answer questions.

On March 28, the prosecutor during the debate asked for a mathematician to say to the three years of the colony. In his opinion, the fault of the defendant is fully proved. Miftakhov himself did not plead guilty.
