Russian air defense forces destroyed 17 rockets from the Vampire multiple launch rocket system over the Belgorod region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. The agency blamed the “Kyiv regime” for the attack.
Air defense systems worked over Belgorod and the Belgorod region, said the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. As a result of the shelling, according to preliminary data, nine people were injured.
“One man is in serious condition - he has a penetrating wound to the chest and a through wound to the foot. His daughter has barotrauma. The ambulance team took both victims to the regional clinical hospital,” said the head of the region. Another seven people, he said, were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to various parts of the body and barotrauma.
In Belgorod, as a result of shelling, windows in 13 apartments of eight apartment buildings were broken, and three private houses were damaged. The façade of one of the city's schools was cut and windows were broken. Three cars were damaged, one of which burned down.
In the Belgorod region, in the village of Dubovoe and the village of Tavrovo, two private houses were damaged. In the village of Novosadovy, the roof of a car was cut by shrapnel. In the village of Maisky, windows in a private house were broken.
