The story of Vladimir Makanin “The Caucasian Pale” was removed from the additional school curriculum in literature for the 11th grade. This happened due to the denunciation of the State Duma deputy from Fair Russia, Yana Lantratova. In the video, Lantratov’s performances turned “Mediazon”.

According to Lantratova, an extremist LGBT Tematics is promoted in the "Caucasian" PNLE ". The deputy said that she allegedly learned about this from the parent: the NIC, who at the beginning of 2024 sent her “mass appeals” .

“This work tells about the homosexual attraction of the Russian soldier to the Pole Caucasian militant. For ethical reasons, erotic excerpts from this work I will not voice. <...> Where did such a similar text insulting the honor and dignity of Russian soldiers, regardless of their nationality, appeared in our educational program? ” - said Lantratova in the State Duma.
