Users of Meta's platforms - WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook - have encountered disruptions in the messenger and social networks around the world, according to data from the Downdetector service. The failure was confirmed by the NetBlocks organization, which monitors network access around the world.
Most of the users who filed a complaint about WhatsApp reported that they could not open the application. Problems have been reported with accessing the web version of the messenger and receiving messages.
Instagram and Facebook users also mostly complain about problems loading apps.
Meta has not yet commented on reports of application failures.
