Moscow raids the Leonardo booking system developer, where a major failure occurred in the fall
In Moscow, searches are being conducted at Sirena-Travel , the developer of the Russian Leonardo airline ticket booking system. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, and the Russian National Guard came to the company's office on Leningradsky Prospekt, Kommersant and RBC report, citing sources.
According to Kommersant's source, the actions of law enforcement officers "are related to large-scale attacks on the IT infrastructure of the Russian ticket booking system that the company encountered last fall." The company, the source claims, notified law enforcement agencies "about incidents in the field of information security, and provides access to all necessary documents and data during the investigation." During the search, law enforcement officers are examining the equipment to establish "possible vulnerabilities," and documents are being seized from the office.
Kommersant writes that "operational activities" are also taking place at the Scientific Research Center for Automated Design Systems (NITs ASK), whose office is located in the same building as Sirena-Travel. It is unknown whether the searches at NITs ASK and Sirena-Travel are connected, the newspaper notes.
Earlier, the Shot Telegram channel reported that SOBR officers had come to search the ASC Research Center, stating that the company operates in the IT sector and provides “computer support services to mechanical engineering enterprises.” The Agency notes that the ASC Research Center is part of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation, which produces Russian hypersonic Zircon missiles.
The Agency recalls that in February, Ukrainian media and monitoring channels reported that Russia had probably used a Zircon missile in Ukraine for the first time. It was claimed that the missile was used in the shelling of Kiev on February 7. Later, the Kiev Research Institute of Forensic Expertise confirmed that one of the intercepted missiles was a Zircon.
Kommersant did not rule out that searches could also take place in the homes of the defendants in the case related to the searches of Sirena-Travel. The publication explains that today the Meshchansky Court of Moscow also allowed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to "conduct events" in the homes of two people. The newspaper does not name them.
