Kazakhstani feminists demand a fair trial in the murder of Saltanat Nukenova. In the bench of the defendants is her husband - the former Minister of the National Economy of Kazakhstan Kuandyk Bishimbaev.

In 2017, Bishimbaev was sentenced to ten years in prison for receiving bribes on an especially large scale. However, two years later, the court granted his petition for parole.
