The local Investigative Committee reported Samedov’s detention; on the night of February 21, 2023, while intoxicated, he decided to meet an 18-year-old girl, the court ruling says . He himself explained his action as “the consequences of the war” and stated that “he had never had such a thing in his life that he raised his hand to a girl, especially with a knife.” He also stated that he was not drunk, but had incriminated himself before the investigators. This allowed the court not to take into account intoxication as an aggravating circumstance, but as mitigating factors to count participation in the war, the presence of state awards and awards from the Wagner PMC and a positive reference from the League for the Defense of the Interests of Veterans.
As “Verstka” found out, Samedov was sent to prison in 2020 for robbery, robbery and intentionally causing minor bodily harm, and he was sentenced to 7 years.
