The head of the All -Russian Federation of rhythmic gymnastics called future neutrals the "team of homeless people." The President of the Russian Olympic Committee did not agree only with the wording and in relation to those who expressed the desire to go to the games tennis players introduced the term “foreign -agent”. The Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova tried to slightly soften the words of the main “defender” of athletes, but only worse - “They, of course, are not suitable for“ foreign agents ”, but partly suitable.” So “partly” anyone is suitable for this glorious category, there is no need to look for objects for a long time - at least the most famous Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, write down, although the player of the Russian national football team, playing and receiving salaries, respectively in the USA and Monaco.

The four -time Olympic champion, the legendary fencer Stanislav Pozdnyakov has not hidden his position for all the last months, which can be expressed briefly: you should not boycott the games, but you don’t have to go. I don’t know what affected the president of the OKR-suspended membership of the organization or the desire of his former fucked-up son-in-law to accept American citizenship, but the desire to run ahead of the steam locomotive in his statements is clearly visible.
Tennisists who have good chances to perform in Paris, received from Pozdnyakov in full. They “live over the time of time live abroad, make money there, and they say that they play for themselves, condemn the policy of their country and their own.”
Stanislav Alekseevich did not just condemn the "lost", but failed the "team of" foreign agents "almost under the article.
Svetlana Zhurova , developing Pozdnyakova’s thought about tennis players, dug deeply: “We now see that they are trying to drive them into some framework so that they, by and large, abandon the country. They have not been living in Russia for a long time, what can they have a civil position? ”
But the wish of the same Irina Wiener , who had already decided to “go into refusal” by his federation: “If all the athletes refused to participate in the Olympics, this would be right so that Russia was not there at all, and then everything will be fine.” About the conditions set by the IOC are even tougher:
“If there are no attributes, then there is no country. If there is no country, it means that these are people who should not have Russian citizenship. ”

There was someone to answer on the collision, and Tatyana Anatolyevna Tarasova with a directness characteristic of the famous coach and emotionality stated that “if people go on such conditions, they are already in a difficult situation. Why should they add from their own people, from sports leaders? What right do we have to condemn them? Who gave this right to Pozdnyakov? " The head of the Ministry of Sports, Oleg Matytsin , also connected, who had previously discovered disagreements with the head of the OKR: “The indictment rhetoric to Russian athletes acting in the international arena is unacceptable ... Everyone has the right to make a decision on their own, and we will support this decision. After all, we know that these are Russian athletes, and they go to games to protect not only their sports honor, but also the honor of their native country, despite the discriminatory decisions of the IOC. ”
No specific guidelines are still received from above, unless Dmitry Peskov occasionally recalls that "we proceed from what has already been said by the president-athletes and the federation themselves decide on participation in the Olympics." That is, formally, the permission was obtained, but “decide for yourself” gives an occasion for any interpretation, which we are observing today. Those federations and those athletes who refused to participate in the games, even if they were not invited there, will not be condemned in any case, but there are enough hints with respect to the “vile papers” to get to Paris.
Here is the authoritative opinion of the two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov about those who still want to speak at the games: “They must understand that with this decision they will continue to live in our society.” Another State Duma deputy and the famous athlete Nikolai Valuev noted:
“I can only assume that for the most part people will not support those who go. Too humiliating. "
What is observed almost complete unanimity is in the assessment of the admission criteria, released by the IOC in early December. Through this filter, not like the two -time Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev - the mouse will not slip. But there is a nuance, as in the case of the same Sadulaev. It is possible to be indignant as much as you like that he was not allowed to participate in the qualification tournament in Baku, but why was it a revelation if the employee of the Russian Guard and representative of Dynamo Society initially could not apply for a license according to one of the main criteria for admission? The fact that Sadulaev was refused one more point-as a participant in a concert rally in Luzhniki in honor of the annexation of Crimea, was only an addition to the decision of the main international wrestling organization-the united world of struggle.
By the way, she is one of the most loyal to Russian athletes of international federations, but she was also forced to refuse one of the most outstanding fighters of the current century. If Sadulaev was allowed to select, then at the next stage he would be “cut off” by a special IOC commission - again according to its criteria. At the same time, Russian wrestlers are still applying for 14 possible licenses, and the Federation President Mikhail Mamiashvili claims that his wards will try to win the maximum number of vouchers. And when they do this, then they will decide whether to go to Paris or not.

Meanwhile, the number of potential games from Russia is steadily reduced. Back in December, it was known that there could be 56 maximum, but
Really 35 people claim to the trip. A meager amount if you start from the maximum number of possible participants. It would not be worth discussing the situation with such heat and fervor, but if you don’t think about the fact that for one of the athletes this is the last chance to fulfill a dream.
There are more federations who have refused to delegate the athletes for games than those who are still hesitating or ready to pass filtration tests. Russian academic rowing, sports and rhythmic gymnastics, boxing, swimming, jumping, fencing, archery, sailing, and heavy athletics will definitely not be presented at the games. There are no longer options to break into games from athletes, synchronists, shooters, horses, climbing, representatives of all team gaming sports. The fact is that as individual athletes in Paris it will be possible to see a maximum of three dozen Russian athletes - mainly wrestlers, tennis players and bicycles. For comparison: 334 Russian athletes who won 20 gold medals participated in the OKR OKR OKRIO OKRIO.
... There was still an overwhelming task before Thomas Bach - to observe the Olympic principles regarding the athletes of Russia and Belarus, but to do it in such a way as not to cause protests from Ukraine and the countries supporting it. He had to choose between the actual detachment of the two countries and the threat of a boycott of games by several states. There were no solutions that arranged all the decisions in the current situation, and it could not be. In early December, everyone was unhappy with the criteria of admission - both in Russia, where the decision was considered at least discriminatory, and on the opposite side, which believes that Russians should not be in Paris at all.
The reaction of the Russian side was predictable - the President of the IOC learned a lot about himself: “Rotten Man” and “Absolute Russophobe”,
How his efforts appreciated. State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev, after the famous prankers Vovan and Lexus divorced Thomas Bach to a frank conversation, appealed to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation with a request to verify Thomas Bach for the “act of his aggression” in relation to Russian athletes.
The position of Thomas Bach is vulnerable, as it initially carried an insoluble contradiction: to resolve, forbidding. The “permits” has overgrown with such a number of prohibitions that it made the way to Paris is almost impassable for most Russian athletes. The call to the Ukrainian side to track the political statements of potential violators on social networks caused a storm of indignation, but even here it is required to clarify: Thomas Bach did not order the Ukrainians to “knock” on Russian athletes, as our frantic zealots interpreted. But the proposals of “providing information” were enough-the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called it the “dirt-hearted recognition” of Thomas Bach, who “joined the political and administrative and obviously criminal conspiracy with one specific side for the removal of strong sports competitors.”
And the main Russian “ski mother” Elena Vyalbe chopped directly, calling Thomas Bach “real scum”, not at all concerned that it would still have to cooperate with him anyway.

Actually, there is a big game in which both sides try to remain clean. For the IOC, it is important to at least formally observe the cornerstones of the Olympic Charter and, as “individual athletes”, allow a very limited number of Russians and Belarusians as “individual athletes”. The Russian side pretends to be trying to fulfill impossible requirements, and formally does not prohibit the athletes on their own to make this or that decision. Potential Olympians in this situation experience tremendous pressure on both sides, they are now de facto-a bargaining coin in a large geopolitical confrontation. They are so “protected” that it would be better to lag behind.
The instructions to tear all international ties, including with “Russophobic” IOC, our head sports organizations did not receive, and the word “boycott” is not pronounced at the official level due to the fact that such a statement threatens the country's total detachment of at least two Olympic cycles. Nikolai Valuev told exhaustingly openly: “We simply observe legal nuances so that the situation does not look like we are boycotting the Olympics. And then they will say that we will boycott it. ”
So the head of the Ministry of Sports, Oleg Matytsin, warned especially retreating that the Olympiad could not “categorically boycott”. And to boycott non -category - obviously, it means acting in other cunning ways so that no one has doubts who is to blame. In order for the conclusion “our athletes want to go even on humiliating conditions, but you yourself did not let it do it” was understood and accepted by all people of goodwill on a global scale.
From this point of view, what happened to the two -time Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev, whom the International Wrestling Federation did not allow the qualifying tournament in Baku, is an ideal strategic model. It would be very good if the international sports federations and the IOC refused to others. For one reason or another, individually, but to everyone. And everyone would be happy and satisfied. In addition to those Russians who really wanted and could go to Paris.
