The governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov called for the people living in the floodplain of the Tobol River. He brought the data of Roshydromet and meteorologists from Kazakhstan, according to which the water level will rise to 11 meters and above. This is higher than the level recorded during the 1994 large -scale floods.
“Evacuate, do not wait for the water arrival. It will come at night and unexpectedly, arriving quickly, in the form of a large wave. The first wave will come to the Citynogolovsky District tonight. The second tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,” wrote the head of the region in his telegram channel.
In 1994, the Kurgan region suffered large -scale and destructive floods. As a result of the rise in water level in Tobol, up to 10 meters in 22 regions of the region, roads, bridges and dams were destroyed, and 62 thousand people were in the flood zone.
On April 5, an increased readiness regime was introduced in the Omsk region. Water entered the houses at least five villages in three areas. According to the governor of the region Vitaly Hotsenko, about 60 houses and approximately 250 personal plots are in the flood zone.
Previously, large -scale floods occurred in the Altai Territory, the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Tomsk regions. Due to the floods in the Orenburg region, a dam broke through -the bodies of three people found the bodies in the flood zone.
This is due to the fact that climatic spring came almost two weeks ahead of schedule. From the beginning of the spring flood, flooding of residential buildings, personal plots and low -water bridges have already occurred . In a number of regions of the country, the authorities declared an emergency regime.
