Lithuanian holding sells the Kaliningrad factory for the production of crab sticks

The Viciunai Group Lithuanian holding, producing Vici crab sticks, received the consent of the Russian authorities to sell the plant in Sovetsk in the Kaliningrad region. About this writes "Kommersant".

The group stopped all investments in Russian production, logistics and trade, and also stopped all sponsorship and marketing campaigns. At the same time, the plant in Sovetsk continued to work.

The Government Commission for Foreign Investments approved the deal. According to the publication, the buyer can act in the interests of a large importer of fish and seafood "Uniphrost", which is based in St. Petersburg.

At the Viciunai Group factory, about 1,500 people work in Sovetsk. The business belongs to the relatives of the mayor of Kaunas Visvaldas Matiyoshitis. Lithuania President Gitanas Nauceda previously stated that the work of the Lithuanian holding in Russia causes reputation and political damage to the republic.
