Flood in Orenburg
In total, almost 12 thousand houses were flooded in the Orenburg region. The most difficult situation, according to the regional government, is developing in Orsk, Orenburg, Orenburg and Ilek regions, Buzuluk and Buzuluk districts.
In Orsk, which was the first to flood, the water began to recede. According to Mayor Vasily Kozupitsa, the level of the Ural River dropped by 42 cm in one day - to 857 cm. The water has receded from 820 houses, but about 6,000 residential buildings still remain flooded.
The head of the Ministry of Construction, Irek Fayzullin, criticized the dam in Orsk, which could not withstand the rising water. According to him, it looks more like an earthen rampart rather than a dam, and there is no way it could have cost 1 billion rubles.
Flood in Orenburg
The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, flew to Orenburg again. According to the department’s press service, there he will “check the implementation of previously announced instructions.”
Previously, “Verstka” told how Kremlinbots praise the work of Kurenkov and the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the conditions of flooding in the Orenburg region . In the comments, the bots talk about the “coordinated work” of the department’s employees, call them “handsome and say that they are “doing everything they can.” Kurenkov, on the other hand, receives individual compliments for the fact that he arrived in Orsk so “promptly” and will now “settle everything.”

“Verstka” also published a report from the flooded Orsk in the Orenburg region. Local residents say that when water was already flooding the city’s suburbs, officials repeated that “the situation is stable.” There was no talk of any organized evacuation of people - it was first reported only half an hour before the dam broke. And even now there is still no single list of evacuees, as well as a telephone number where you can call and find out information about loved ones.
