Dozens of rockets have been fired at Israel from Lebanon. An air raid alert was sounded several times in northern Israel.

About 40 rockets were fired at Israel from Lebanon, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces reports.

The department claims that some of the missiles were intercepted, while the rest fell in open areas. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

The IDF added that Israeli air defense forces had previously shot down two drones. In addition, over the past few hours, the Israeli military has carried out a series of attacks on targets in southern Lebanon, the press release said.

The Israeli publication The Times of Israel writes that Hezbollah took responsibility for the attack on Israel. The group claims to have fired “dozens” of rockets at Israeli artillery positions.
