The residential sector of the city of Tokmak in the annexed Zaporozhye region came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reported the Russian-appointed head of the region, Evgeniy Balitsky, and a representative of the local administration, Vladimir Rogov.
“As a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the apartment sector of Tokmak, there were deaths, including one child, and dozens of residents were seriously injured. The fire is being extinguished and the rubble is being cleared now,” Balitsky wrote .
He did not name the exact number of victims, but specified that 25 private sector houses and nine multi-storey buildings were left without gas supply.
According to Rogov, six people were killed in the shelling, and at least 20 residents were seriously injured.
