On March 6, the Tomsk Garrison Military Court issued a ruling in the case against serviceman Radmir Mustafin, who is accused of two counts of desecration of the Russian flag (Article 329 of the Criminal Code). The card was published on the court’s website, and the Siberian Express publication drew attention to it.
According to the prosecution, Mustafin, in the presence of other people, tore off the sleeve insignia with the Russian flag from his uniform and trampled on it with the words “Glory to Ukraine!”, and then - on another day, in the presence of “third parties” - he demonstratively flushed a similar insignia down the toilet.
The decision of the Tomsk Garrison Court states that the case should be considered by another court in connection with the principle of territorial jurisdiction.
