The son of the mayor of flooded Orsk went to Saudi Arabia and bought an apartment in Dubai

The son of the mayor of flooded Orsk, Nikolai Kozupitsa, bought an apartment in an elite residential complex in Dubai. The deal took place a month ago, Navalny’s Team found out after studying his family’s social networks.

Companions of the oppositionist said that the newly acquired property of Kozupitsa Jr. is located in the Binghatti Nova residential complex - on its territory there is a swimming pool and a gym. The 91-meter apartment purchased last month costs about 33 million rubles, notes Navalny’s Team.

FBK employees also found out that in October 2023, the family of Kozupitsa Jr. moved to Saudi Arabia. Nikolai Kozupitsa’s wife, Natalya, spoke in detail about her departure from Russia on her social networks. She showed photos of their driver's licenses from the new country, as well as residency documents for the entire family. Among other things, Natalya Kozupitsa said that their children went to kindergarten and a local school, where they study according to the British system.

According to Navalny’s associates, the current mayor of Orsk, Vasily Kozupitsa, maintains a relationship with his son Nikolai. In between his work as the head of the city, Vasily Kozupitsa headed the Orsk private security company, which he registered in the name of his son. Kozupica Sr. was listed as a co-owner of this company until the end of last year.

A dam break in Orsk occurred on April 5. After this, several thousand houses were flooded in the city. Shortly before this, Mayor Vasily Kozupitsa claimed that he inspected the dam and called the rising water level near it a normal phenomenon. The general contractor for the dam's construction blamed rodents for its breach. Kozupica rejected this version and said that the break was caused by heavy flooding.

Residents of Orsk launched a petition demanding the resignation of Vasily Kozupitsa. It was signed by more than three thousand people, reports 7x7.
