50-year-old Simferopol resident Nikolai Mazanka was detained by Russian security forces due to “discussions on the topic of Ukraine,” pro-Russian blogger and serial informer Alexander Talipov reported on April 11.
The reason for the man’s detention, Talipov claims, was Mazanka’s statements against Russia’s war with Ukraine, as well as against Vladimir Putin. Talipov writes that “Ukrainian symbols and live ammunition” were found at the man’s home, “the issue of opening a case is being decided.”
12:00 Information about the administrative case against Nikolai Mazanka appeared on the website of the Kiev District Court of Simferopol. The man was fined under the article on discrediting the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code).
