This film is the story of five Russian families who lost their children, mothers, fathers and grandchildren under shelling. What intimate memories do they keep about their departed loved ones, who is blamed for their death, what do they think about the world? Monologues of people who survived the impossible, but did not lose the ability to compassion. There is nothing more powerful than their words now.

Over two years of fighting in Ukraine, according to the UN, more than 10 thousand civilians died. And the shells continue to kill them every day. Novaya journalists do not have access to the territory of Ukraine and are unable to talk about what is happening there due to censorship. Therefore, we cannot talk about the deaths on both sides. But it seems to us that the pain of those who have lost their children, their parents, their loved ones is the same on both sides of the border. Without forgetting the grief of our neighbors, we continue to talk about the tragedy in our country.
