The head of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov called the philosopher Immanuel Kant "Russian trophy" during the plenary session at the International Kantus Congress. The broadcast from the event was published on the UTUB channel of the Kanta BFU.
Alikhanov showed a presentation during a session entitled "Criticism of the Artificial Mind: the Problems of Being and Knowledge in the Context of the Development of AI." The name of the event echoes the two most important works of the German philosopher - the books “Criticism of the Pure Reason” (1781) and “Criticism of the Practical Mind” (1788).
During the speech, the governor said that Kant - “Like everything that you see in the Kaliningrad region,” is the “Russian Trophy”. Alikhanov also added that Russian philosophers often opposed the German thinker and that Russia is now “in the center of the most powerful cognitive war” with the West.
“The enemy is trying to hide in the Kantian heritage. In our opinion, our Russian interpretation of Kant could be opposed to him, in our opinion. That is why we need a large -scale audit, a re -examination of the entire Kantian heritage based on the current tasks, ”said the head of the Kaliningrad region.

A few months ago, Alikhanov was already speaking about Immanuel Kant. In February, at the V Congress of Russian Political Society, he said that Kant and his philosophy were “directly related to the military conflict in Ukraine”. According to the governor, Kant did a lot for the development of European philosophy, but “cut off” it from higher spiritual values, which, among other things, led the West to conflicts with other cultures.
The International Kantus Congress “World Concept of Philosophy” takes place at the Kant’s Baltic Federal University from April 22 to 25 - the event is timed to the three hundredth anniversary of the German thinker, which is celebrated today.
Immanuel Kant is one of the central thinkers of the Enlightenment and the founder of classical German philosophy. Its works are systemic in nature, combining in one whole concept of views on different topics - from ethics and aesthetics to epistemology and politics. The works of the German thinker had a huge impact on the development of philosophy - including Russian. Kant lived all his life in Koenigsberg (Kaliningrad), his grave remains one of the main attractions of the city.
