The case, begun by Lenin at the beginning of the last century, really lives! And does not let us live normally
When I was a little boy, I also had a grandmother, and I also went to pioneer camps. And I sincerely believed that there was no better and wiser on Earth in the whole history of man than Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. That's so lucky!
And I was also lucky because in the same house I lived with me and a relative of Lenin, Dmitry Ulyanov, went to the same school with me. The family of my friend and he himself was very modest, worthy people who had never mentioned their kinship during the whole meeting. And I thought that Lenin was the same! A modest, worthy that devoted all of himself to the struggle for the happiness of people and undermined health in this struggle.
Today, the date, about which few will remember, except for the Zyuganovites, and by tradition they will come to Red Square and will make fossil speeches about “the world's first state of workers and peasants” - these comrades and Lenin are still young, and October is always young and ahead. And once on April 22 it was the most important date for Soviet people.
But I remember another day. It was in the midst of perestroika when from official stands it was said that Stalin was an executioner and a villain. People refreshed the theses of the XX Congress in the memory, and the second wave of teninization began. Under the slogan of returning to Leninist ideals. In our school, it became fashionable to wear icons with Ilyich on a jacket. They were some kind of homemade, unlike the factory pioneer or Komsomol. And we had a history teacher Sergei Nikolaevich. He began to conduct an elective after lessons, and whoever wanted to, he came to listen to something beyond the scope of the school course.
The teacher was frank with us. Sometimes too. Trusting and what even in the wake of Gorbachev's publicity was not yet accepted. And once Sergey Nikolaevich once told us:
The worst thing is that not only Stalin was a killer and a bastard, but also Lenin! This just shocked us!
And our teacher was not limited to a bright phrase alone, but also told us about what they did not write about in the textbooks. He worked for a long time in the archives before he went to teach, and even in the open part of these historical deposits he found enough to stop being a Soviet person before any restructuring.
... Now the time is when they begin to talk about Lenin then if the topics for conversations are ended. However, the Russian president himself recalled the leader of the proletariat in recent months. I remembered not a kind word-as the “creator of Ukraine”, the actual quasi-state, with which we now have so many problems! On the other hand, when monuments to Lenin were demolished in Ukraine, our official representatives and the patriotic public reacted very nervously to this. It turns out such a strange dualism: it seems like a bad person was this Lenin, but you do not touch the monuments to him, Bandera!
And about the monuments is generally quite interesting if you look at the statistics. And about Lenin's streets too. There are thousands of them! Nobody knows the exact number of monuments, but it is known that there are more than six thousand. But the streets, squares, avenues and embankments are calculated. There are 7674. And not only they - even Lenin alleys exist on maps.
What kind of Russian town you will come in - everywhere the central street bears the name of Lenin. Or Soviet - which is also no worse. And there is a standard Ilyich, pointing a hand somewhere into the distance.
And we, on the one hand, perceive it all as a background, as part of the landscape along with trees and fences. And on the other hand, is this habit good?
Society now has, to put it mildly, more urgent problems and topics for discussions. But at the same time, our society will not decide on what is good and what is bad. Who is the hero and who is the villain. About whom we can say that he was a man of his era and did this because the time was, but who in no case should not make discounts and say: what difference does it take so much time has passed.
I looked at the recent survey of Levada*. He was also clearly done by the date of April 22. And the survey is very curious! 67% of respondents say that Lenin played a positive role in the history of Russia. Two -thirds! Only 16% evaluate this role as negative. Moreover, young people evaluate Lenin better than the middle and older generation. Youth! Only every tenth in the age category of 18–24 considers Vladimir Ilyich a negative hero! Moreover, they tell us: the older generation of Russians who grew up in the USSR and whose heads are clogged with Soviet dogmas will leave, and then the young will build another country with other principles. But here they are, young!
It is clear that in reality few of the young guys are seriously and will now reflect on the role of Lenin in history for a long time. But somehow they somehow developed this opinion. And these amazing numbers are probably not so amazing. The line now in propaganda is such that the state has always been good and with all the authorities. And that with some contradictions they are still all the same and as heirs to each other: kings, Bolsheviks, the current president. The state is always right! So, Lenin was right, and the king, whom he shot, was right. And Stalin was also right. Well, there is nothing to say about the current national leader.
One thing has long been seen: when it is necessary to kill the agenda and distract public attention from some acute topics, they begin to discuss the removal of Lenin’s body from the mausoleum for the hundredth time. Plus, they recall this to memorable dates and the next anniversary of the 1917 revolution. On duty topic, on -duty theses. And nothing changes from year to year: they talked - and dispersed. But now I look at the percentages of the Levada again, and there is again interesting there. If, in the year of the 100th anniversary of the revolution, supporters of the removal of the body replayed opponents with a score of 58 by 31%, now the alignment has changed dramatically! 37 by 45%. And again, most of all those who want to leave everything as it are and store the mummy in the mausoleum further - among the youth. 54%!
Bolshevism is not a story. More precisely, not only history. Its methods work perfectly and 100 years later. It is not without reason that it is now that they often recall the “philosophical steamers”, about the emigration of the first wave, about the enemies of the people, which are only called now otherwise, but the essence is the same. And symbols are not just part of the landscape in the names and typical idols around us. And not only in the name of Lenin. How many streets and lanes we have called the names of the killers! Even if people living on these streets do not always know in honor of whom they are named. But in order to build a normal society, we once have to get rid of these seemingly formal things. Because
The word is also financially. The names are important. Monuments are also important, because they are from the word "memory".
The case, begun by Lenin at the beginning of the last century, really lives! And it does not allow us to live normally. And to count monuments to the victims of this regime on the fingers. And Ilyich's monuments are thousands! What then is not a reason to congratulate him? You can even personally, reaching the zikurt on Red Square. He lies there and really how alive.
