Since the spring of 2022, the Russian authorities have been actively inviting workers in the occupied territories - in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, as well as in the "DPR" and "LPR". There are acutely lacking doctors, teachers, managers, engineers and other specialists. In order to attract new employees, employers offer for the same duties of more money than Russians can receive in their regions and even the capital.

What specialists are looking for in the occupied territories

At the end of March 2024, for the occupied Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions on the largest platform in Russia for searching for work and employees of Headhunter and the work “ Work in Russia ” ( there are mainly located vacancies of budget organizations, the site is supervised by the federal service for labor and employment of the Russian Federation. - Approx. The most popular profession is a doctor. They are looking for both budget and private organizations. Medical institutions especially require therapists, obstetrician-gynecologists, pediatricians, neurologists and anesthesiologists-resuscitators.

“It’s easy to find work [in Donetsk], but it is difficult to work because of the transition to Rosstandarts,” the laboratory assistant Anatoly from Donetsk told “important stories”. - In six months, it is extremely difficult to master everything and delve into everything. There are not enough hands not only on paper, but also for physical work.

Not enough occupied territories and teachers. Teachers of mathematics, chemistry, foreign languages, physics, Russian language and literature are especially in demand. Also in the field of education, psychologists, social teachers, teachers-organizers, and teachers of additional education are required.

In third place are engineers. And followed by managers, drivers, accountants, locksmiths, nurses, cleaners and operators of the number of centers.

Who are ready to pay more in the occupied territories

Despite the lack of doctors in the occupied territories, the salaries there on average are not very different from those that are paid in the Russian regions.

For example, anesthesiologists in the “LPR”, “DPR” and the Zaporizhzhya region offer 80 thousand rubles ( hereinafter we indicate a median value. - approx. Ed. ). The same amounts are ready to pay in the Kurgan, Kursk, Oryol, Orenburg and Tyumen regions. In the occupied Kherson region, an anesthetist can receive 100 thousand rubles, as in the Moscow and Murmansk regions, in the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories and in Karelia. Even more - up to 150 thousand rubles are ready to pay in Moscow and the Far Eastern regions.

Nurses can receive above average in the Zaporizhzhya region - about 40 thousand rubles. More in Russia is offered only in the capital and in the north. At the same time, in the Kherson region, “LPR” and “DPR” the salaries of the nurse are in the region of 20 thousand rubles, that is, they barely exceed the minimum wage.

There are more noticeably more than in average in Russia, in the occupied territories they are ready to pay drivers of category E (with the right to drive a vehicle with a trailer, the carrying capacity of which is over 750 kg). For example, in “LPR” and “DPR”, drivers can receive about 200 thousand rubles, as well as in Moscow.

Among technical specialists, engineers of the production and technical department (PTO) are most in demand. They are engaged in the conduct of documentation and control the implementation of all production tasks. The maximum wage is offered to such specialists in the Kherson region - 250 thousand rubles. In the "DPR" - an average of 150 thousand, in "LPR" - already 125 thousand. At the same time, on average, an engineer of the FTO can receive about 95 thousand in Russia.

The most actively such specialists are looking for work in Mariupol. Vacancies with a relay and a salary of about 180 thousand rubles are offered in 11 regions of Russia. You can earn more only in the Jewish Autonomous Okrug and in the Kherson region.

We collected 5047 vacancies on the work “Work in Russia” and 1845 vacancies on HeadHunter, relevant on March 19, 2024 and March 21, 2024, respectively.

To calculate the median salary, only those vacancies were selected that indicate at least one of the salaries: “from” or “to”. If both fields are filled, then we took the middle between “from” and “to”.

For the average salary indicator in the region, we used median value, and not the arithmetic mean, so that abnormally large or small values ​​do not distort the picture.

To determine the median value, you need to place all the salaries from the smallest to the largest and find the middle. This number will be median.
