The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan urgently called on citizens not to travel to Russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan on the evening of April 27 issued an urgent recommendation and advised citizens of the republic to “temporarily refrain from traveling to Russian territory by all types of transport unless absolutely necessary.”

The day before, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported that citizens of the country have been massively denied entry into Russia over the past few weeks. The ministry expressed its concern to the Russian Ambassador to the Republic, Semyon Grigoriev, about unfounded cases of denial of entry into Russia.

As Asia Plus reported on April 25, since April 22, about 180 cars with Tajik license plates have been stuck on the Kazakh-Russian border in the Orenburg region. The publication claimed that Tajik citizens were allowed to cross the border only after a phone search and interrogation.
