In Finland, three Russian citizens are suspected of export without the permission of double goods. The police demands to arrest them on charges of violation of sanctions legislation under aggravating circumstances, the Finnish television and radio company Yle reports .
Suspects are students of the Kainuu professional school in the city of Kayai in the central part of Finland. It is known about the detainees that these are two 25-year-old men and one 18-year-old woman. The police detained them in a hostel on Tuesday, it became known only today.
The investigator does not disclose which goods and to which country the suspects could be exported. Finland as a member of the EU adheres to an unprecedented sanctions regime against Russia: it is forbidden to export thousands of items of goods, including electronics, details of machine tools, optical devices and sights.
The court will decide on the arrest in the afternoon. On charges, Russian students face up to 4 years in prison.
