An explosion occurred in Belgorod on the afternoon of May 4, said the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.
He did not name the cause of the explosion.
According to the head of the region, five people were injured - three women and two men. They were taken to the city hospital with various injuries, including head and shrapnel wounds.
Damage was detected in 30 private residential households, and 10 cars were also damaged, Gladkov said.
The Baza Telegram channel previously reported about the “arrival” in the private sector of Belgorod. According to the channel, the attack hit houses in the area of Razdobarkina Street. The local telegram channel “Ashes” suggested that a Russian aerial bomb could have fallen on one of the houses in Belgorod. Authorities did not declare a missile threat before the explosion. At the same time, during the explosion, Russian aviation carried out strikes on the Kharkov region.
