Removed striptease, built a church

Putin’s palace in Gelendzhik was rebuilt, but he remained an unofficial residence. The main thing from the investigation of the FBK and "Project"

Before the inauguration of Vladimir Putin, the Corruption Fund and the Project publication published a new investigation about the Palace in Gelendzhik. Despite the plans announced publicly, to build an apart-hotel, after the repair, the place remained an unofficial residence of the president, the authors say. However, the interior has changed: a church and a special communication room appeared inside.

Novyevropa says that, according to the investigators, they rebuilt in the “palace” in recent years.

"Apart-hotel"

In 2021, the Navalny team issued an investigation about a specially protected building in Gelendzhik, calling it the Palace of Putin. Then Arkady Rotenberg invited Mash journalists and stated that the building belongs to him and soon the apart-hotel would open in it. A year later, FBK released another video with real photos from this structure, but the news about the opening of something in its place did not appear.

At the beginning of the new investigation, the authors are asked by two questions: is the “palace” completed and did he actually become an apart-hotel? To the first question, they answer “yes”, the second - “no”.

For the past few years, a large -scale repairs have been carried out in the Palace, which ended, according to the authors of the investigation, in the spring of 2023. One of the contractors who participated in the renovation of the building transferred the FBK and the “project” drawings and work documentation with a list of new furniture. She has never been to the facility, but her colleagues came there repeatedly. One of the workers also handed the journalists a hidden video dated 2021. Thanks to these materials, the authors of the investigation visualized renovated rooms.

Between themselves, the contractors called the "palace" the object "South", while in the documents it was listed as an apart-hotel. The Velesstroy project was carried out by the reconstruction, which, as the journalists found out , is owned by Breshir Filipovich, the civil husband of the vice-mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakakova. The German company KNAUF and Finnish Tikkurila supplied furniture and finishing materials.

“Among the [manufacturers of building materials] there are a lot of Western brands, and representatives of some of them communicated with customers of work in Gelendzhik, that is, they almost certainly were aware of how and for what their products are used,” the investigation said.

House church

According to the investigation, a house church with an iconostasis-trip and wooden throne appeared on the site of a room with toys. The authors of the video note that the icons depict the Virgin, Jesus Christ and the Holy Prince Vladimir. According to journalists, the latter indicates that the "palace" was made specifically for Vladimir Putin.

Instead of a striptease room, a lounge zone appeared in the building with shiny decorative inserts on the walls.

In terms of construction, the Chittle was replaced with Lobby 1, but the filling of the room did not change significantly. Instead of the golden double -headed eagles, carpets worth several million were put in it, two chandeliers were hung for 95 million rubles and paintings with the image of historical battles. One of them is a fragment of the canvas “Whoever comes to us with a sword ...”, which hangs in the Kremlin.

Most other premises in the renovated building are called apartments under different numbers. Investigators believe that at least one of them - “apartments No. 12” - this is actually a guard room. Another non-nypical solution for the Apart Hotel is in the room called the “restaurant”, there is one table for 16 people.

Also, the authors of the investigation noticed a room called "Communication" on the basement. Sources in the hotel business said that “they cannot imagine why a hotel in a hotel may need a separate room” for such purposes. In other rooms, judging by the drawings, special phones are installed - three in a row.

The publication "Project" noted:

“On May 7, Putin’s fifth term will begin. But this person is not at all the same that was in previous years. Previously, he was interested in worldly entertainment like striptease, casino and games rooms. Now he surrounded himself with icons and paintings of death. ”
