A protocol on “discrediting” the army was again drawn up against the writer Mikhail Zygar

The Pskov City Court registered a protocol on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code), drawn up against the writer Mikhail Zygar. Mediazona found information about this on the court’s website.

What exactly became the reason for the administrative case is unknown. At the end of March, the same court refused to consider the protocol drawn up against Zygar under the article on “discrediting” the army.

In April, the Ministry of Internal Affairs put the writer on the wanted list. The Moscow court file says that Zygar was accused of disseminating “deliberately false information” about the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine out of political hatred (clause “e” of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). The investigation calls for his arrest in absentia.
