The court in New York continues to consider the case of the former US President Donald Trump, who is accused of falsification of documents when paying porn actress Stormy Daniels (real name Stefani Clifford). She claims that in 2006 they had sex, and in 2016, when Trump became presidential candidate, his lawyer Michael Cohen paid her 130 thousand dollars for silence. After that, Trump compensated Koen to this money, forging business reports. Former president of communication with Daniels denies. At the meeting, held on May 7, she testified and described in detail how she met Trump and what happened between them.
According to a porn actress, they met at the golf tournament in 2006, one of the sponsors of which was her studio. Sexual contact, as Daniels says, was initiated by Trump, who invited her to dinner in his hotel room. She described how Trump hit the buttocks with a folded magazine, and how, leaving the bathroom, she saw him on the bed in shorts and a T -shirt. Daniels tried to leave, but Trump blocked her path. Daniels did not feel the verbal or physical threat of Daniels, but she felt the “imbalance” of forces.
After it ended, Daniels recalls, it was difficult for her to put on her shoes, because her hands were shaking strongly. According to her, many people knew about the fact that she met with Trump and went to his room, but she spoke few about sex - partly because she was ashamed.
Trump was married at that time, four months before meeting with Daniels he had a son. He, according to her statement, said that he did not even sleep with his wife Melania in the same room. The New York Times writes that when Daniels said this in court, Trump shook his head and, turning to his lawyers, said: “Nonsense” - but so loudly that the judge who called the defenders and made a remark to them. Lawyers promised to talk to Trump.
After describing the meeting with Trump, the porn actress passed to the story of subsequent events. In 2011, Daniels, according to her, found out that her story got to the tabloid and agreed to an interview for 15 thousand dollars. She explained her motivation as follows: "Better I will earn money than someone will earn on me." However, the publication did not come out then.
Once again, the story of Daniels - in 2015 - the publisher Gina Rodriguez tried to sell, but she did not arouse interest, until in October 2016 a record was published , on which Trump in an offensive tone discusses his relations with women. The video was recorded in 2005 during the filming of the Access Hollywood television program. In it, Trump says that women allow him “anything” - in particular, “grab the crotch”.
After the recording was released, agents Daniels addressed its history to the journal National Enquirer. The Wall Street Journal said that in 2015, the owner of the American Media magazine David Pecker promised Trump that if women with his ties came to the editor, he would warn the lawyer Michael Cohen. This scheme worked with the former Playboy model Karen McDugal, who was going to talk about her relationship with Trump. The magazine bought her story, but did not publish.
Contacting Cohen in the magazine also advised lawyer Stormy Daniels Kate Davidson. He did so - and concluded an agreement with him, agreeing that Daniels would not betray his history for 130 thousand dollars. Three years later, in 2019, Cohen spoke in the US Congress, where he said that Trump ordered him to pay Stormy Daniels, and in 2017, already becoming the president, he compensated for this money, presenting expenses as legal costs on business documentation. In the same speech, Cohen called Trump a fraud and racist.
Daniels and Trump met in court for the first time. The testimony of porn actress gave within five hours. The New York Times calls her speech a “crown of the trial”. “Porn actress, standing opposite the former and possibly future president, tells the world that they once paid for the silence,” the newspaper writes.
During the meeting, the defense representative asked Daniels the question: "I understand correctly that you hate President Trump?" “Yes,” she answered. When asked if she wants to be imprisoned, a porn actress said that she demands to hold him accountable.
Trump still denies all the charges against him. During a break in court, he wrote on his social network Truth Social: "The persecution that has no reason has gone too far."
