Kremlabots published fake quotes of stars by May 9

The bots associated with the Russian authorities, to Victory Day, massively published fake posts on Twitter that Hollywood stars spoke in support of Russia. About this writes "Agency".

On May 7, Kremlinboats published 28 tweets on the social network with images of 13 stars, which were attributed to phrases about the Soviet Union and the Red Army. For the campaign, popular people were chosen whose ancestors were immigrants from the Russian Empire or the USSR.

So, for example, actor Harrison Fires were attributed to a quote “We are imposed by a distorted history of World War II. Allegedly, the United States won alone,” and actress Natalie Portman a phrase - “Usually we believe that Auschwitz was liberated by the United States. In fact, this was made by the Red Army. The Soviet Union saved hundreds of thousands of Jews from destruction.”

The actress with Ukrainian roots Mila Kunis allegedly said that "people came to power in Ukraine whose idol is Hitler's ally." The bots used the photograph of actor Anton Yelchin and added a phrase to her about an attempt to "rewrite the history of the Second World War and underside the role of Russia." Yelchin died in 2016 as a result of an accident.

Different quotes were also attributed to David Dutins, Mille Jovovich, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zoya Kravitz, Winona Ryder, Joaquin Fenix and others.

The "agency" conducted an analysis of these quotes and did not find evidence that the actors and actresses have ever pronounced such phrases.

In April of this year, pro -Kremlin accounts distributed a fake video of his brother Henry Himmler, who allegedly called on Ukrainians "not to give the homeland to the bloody dictator of Zelensky." Catherine Himmler denied that this phrase belongs to her.
