Mishustin proposed a new composition of the government. There is no Belousov in it, and four governors have been nominated for ministerial positions, including Degtyarev and Tsivilev

Mikhail Mishustin, who was reappointed as head of the new government, submitted candidates for deputy prime ministers and heads of ministries to the State Duma for consideration.

The new government does not include Andrei Belousov and Victoria Abramchenko, who held the posts of first deputy prime minister and deputy prime minister, respectively. Both of them are moving to a new job.

For the post of First Deputy Prime Minister, Mishustin proposed Denis Manturov, who held the position of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade. Alexander Novak was asked to oversee the economic block (issues of supporting the economy and anti-sanctions measures), which was in Belousov’s area of ​​responsibility; he also remains in charge of the energy sector.

Instead of Victoria Abramchenko, Mishustin proposed appointing Dmitry Patrushev, the son of Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, who served as head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Mishustin also proposed introducing the post of specialized Deputy Prime Minister for Transport. Vitaly Savelyev, who headed the Ministry of Transport and before that the Aeroflot airline, was proposed for this post.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, who is asked to add supervision of the Ministry of Education and Rosmolodezh, and Tatyana Golikova remain in the government - in addition to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Culture, she will oversee the Federal Agency for National Affairs. Also, Alexey Overchuk, Yuri Trutnev and Marat Khusnullin will retain their positions as deputy prime ministers.

In addition, Mishustin proposed appointing four current governors to ministerial positions:

• The head of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, is the Minister of Transport.
• The head of the Kaliningrad region, Anton Alikhanov, is the Minister of Industry and Trade.
• The head of the Kemerovo region, Sergei Tsivilev, is appointed Minister of Energy instead of Nikolai Shulginov, who is leaving the government.
• The head of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, became the Minister of Sports instead of Oleg Matytsin, who held this post.

Among those who will retain their posts are the heads of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov, the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov, the Ministry of Education Sergei Kravtsov, the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova, the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov, the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, the Ministry of Construction Irek Faizullin, the Ministry of Education Valery Falkov, the Ministry of Eastern Development Alexey Chekunkov and the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev.

• On May 10, 2024, the State Duma reappointed the Prime Minister of Russia, confirming Mikhail Mishustin to this post, who has held it for the past four years. Now he must present candidates for the posts of deputy prime ministers and ministers. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that deputies will consider them on May 13 and 14, respectively.
• In the government structure approved by Putin on May 11, the post of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade, which was previously held by Denis Manturov, is divided .
