Russian troops continue the offensive in the north of the Kharkov region, where a new front opened last week. On the eve of the unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation entered the city of Volchansk, where fierce battles are now underway. Local security forces said that the settlement is now "turning into Bakhmut or Maryinka." According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russians, apparently, give priority to the rapid creation of a buffer zone along the state border, and not creating conditions for deeper penetration deep into the region.
