Lukashenko demanded that the KGB "decisively" suppress the activities of foreign special services in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demanded that the State Security Committee (KGB) decisively stop the activities of foreign intelligence services in the country. He stated this, making personnel decisions in the structure of state security bodies.

"Our state must open all kinds of manners and negative trends in relation to Belarus with your hands and mind. We must stop, moreover, the activities of foreign special services in the country," Lukashenko said.

He noted that for the policy of good neighborliness that Belarus offered to neighbors (Poles, Lithuanians and Latvians), given the visa -free space, "they respond in the reverse way."

“We see an attempt to impose on us the war of sabotage groups besides the information war. We also celebrate this recently and we are fighting against this. We see that they are preparing all kinds of armed detachments and almost regiments, as they call them to implement the invasion of Belarus,” Lukashenko emphasized.

In February of this year, Lukashenko announced the detention of supposedly saboteurs on the border with Ukraine. He later ordered the military to destroy any violators of the border of Belarus.

"I will publicly say: any provocation should be suppressed by armed path. There is nothing to joke with them. They violated the state border - to destruction. No one should ceremony with anyone. And we will do so ... Therefore, any violation of the state border - to destroy. They understand only strength."
