Two Kharkiv residents who brought missiles on the bases of special forces GUR received 15 years in prison

Two residents of Kharkov, who prepared missile strikes on the bases of special forces of Ukrainian intelligence in the Kharkov region, received 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, 19-year-old unemployed residents of the Kharkov massif Saltovka were detained, who, after a full-scale invasion, remotely recruited the personnel employee of the 1st service of the Department of Counterintelligence Operations of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

In the field of view of the FSB employee, young people fell because of the pro-Kremlin comments on social networks. The Russian special service promised agents a monetary reward. One of them also hoped for the assistance of the invaders for admission to the FSB Academy in Russia.

Young people were supposed to transfer the coordinates of the temporary base of the Kraken special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. To do this, they went around Kharkov and his suburbs on bicycles. During such trips, special attention was paid to the signs of the differences of Ukrainian defenders and recorded their geolocation to report to the FSB.

The boys traveled around the city and the region on bicycles and collected information about the places of concentration of the forces and funds of the Armed Forces. They noted the collected data on Google cards and sent to their curator from the FSB. For each location mark, they received $ 50 for two, added to the Kharkov regional prosecutor's office.

"Thus, the attackers brought enemy fire to objects located in the Kharkov region - the information received from them was used by the aggressor state to commit shelling," the report said.

Kharkovites were detained on August 1, 2023, when they collected information about the location of one of the military units. During the trial, the accused did not plead guilty. They stated that they simply rode Kharkov and the suburbs on bicycles and did not take any unlawful actions.

The 20-year-old guy also said that he allegedly gave his acquaintances his own phone, and whoever sent the image of the cards is unknown to him.

The defendants were found guilty of the state treason committed by preliminary conspiracy by a group of persons in conditions of martial law.

During the preparatory meeting on October 27, 2023, both suspects pleaded guilty, but under another article, which provides for a shorter term of punishment, an unauthorized distribution of information about the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
