Odessa reported a suspicion of treason to a man who, hiding behind a fictitious certificate of a journalist, handed over the coordinates of the objects of the seaport and television tower to the Russians. This was announced by the office of the Prosecutor General.
The man worked as the head of the company that employs sailors for fishing and merchant ships.
The security services of Ukraine clarified that he spied behind the positions of Ukrainian air defense near the Black Sea and telecommunication facilities in the Odessa region to adjust Russian strokes.
For an unhindered inspection and photographic of objects, the man used the Closing Documents of the FSB, a journalist’s certificate, a member of a public organization and a vodocanal controller, provided to him by a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
As a reward for his "services", the investigation claims, the suspect counted on a leadership in the occupation administration in case of capture of the city.
Law enforcement officers detained a man while fixing the critical infrastructure of the seaport. A mobile phone was seized from him with red-handed reconnaissance and subversive activities in favor of the Russian Federation.
The detainee was declared suspicion of the state treason, committed in martial law. Now he is in custody. A man faces a lifelong conclusion.
