Anapa’s shores noticed a large accumulation of jellyfish, which is atypical for this season. This was reported by the local version of the publication "Notepad".
Residents of the city, floating on sales a few tens of meters from the shore, sent to reporters a video that captured thousands of jellyfish. The rollers show how people float on the sea on the boards, while the water seems to be covered with a white film. According to the “Notepad”, this is aurelia - the type of jellyfish that does not pose a great danger to humans. They have a round shape with a diameter of five to 20 centimeters and numerous threaded tentacles. Their bite can cause irritation and redness of the skin.

“Anapa Media”, in turn, writes that information about the invasion of Medus is exaggerated. In a conversation with the publication, the author of the video with jellyfish said that they "both appeared and disappeared." He added that people on the shore “did not notice them at all,” and that those who wish can swim in the sea without the risk of contact with jellyfish. At the same time, on the beaches of Anapa there are many sections covered with algae, the newspaper writes.
In a conversation with RIA Novosti, the candidate of agricultural sciences Alexei Abramchuk explained the large accumulation of jellyfish near the coastline Storm, which was held the day before. According to him, Medus was nailed to the shore by the wind. Abramchuk emphasized that in the Krasnodar Territory, such clusters of jellyfish were observed annually, and urged vacationers not to touch them.
According to the “Notepad”, usually the peak of jellyfish activity in the Black Sea falls on the period from mid -July to the end of August. In September-October, the water becomes cooler and the jellyfish disappear.
